FAQ

You can ask questions on NID coaching,  NIFT coaching classes,   NATA  exam preparation ,  IIT- CEED  training classes, SPA,  Sir. J.J.,  CEPT – B.Arch ,  SBST and Interior Design courses admission,  Fine Arts courses after 12th and graduation.

FACTS:-

1) NID UNDERGRADUATE(AFTER 12TH STANDARD) admission is difficult.

2) IIT – M.Des (CEED exam) admission is difficult. Also IIT (UG) admission is difficult (B.Arch)

3) CEPT – B.ARCH admission is difficult. (AS YOU MUST SCORE MORE THAN 80% IN 12TH STANDARD EXAM + GOOD SCORE IN NATA)
CEPT -SBST  and CEPT-SID admissions are not as difficult as CEPT-B.ARCH.

4) NIFT admission is not at all difficult. ANY average student can pass NIFT without joining any classes.(NIFT IS ALMOST IN ALL STATES AND HAS MORE THAN 1400 SEATS . (in near future it is going to be around 2000 seats) AT UNDERGRADUATE (AFTER 12TH STANDARD) LEVEL. NIFT has started many overseas centers too. Also NIFT offers many certificate, diploma and post graduates course from many affiliated colleges/institutes/university. NIFT has maximum seats.  It is not at all difficult to get admission in NIFT. ONLY ADMISSION TO NIFT DELHI IS DIFFICULT.

5) NATA exam is not at all difficult. NATA requires only 80 marks to pass, out of 200. ANY average student can get 80 marks without joining any classes.   (This is clearly written on NATA site!!!!) After passing NATA exam one can get admission in any Architecture Colleges. Gujarat has more than 450 seats for Architecture courses. Every year more than 5000 students get admission in Architecture course through out India. So NATA exam is not at all difficult.
THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF DESIGN / FASHION / ARCHITECTURE / FINE ARTS COLLEGES IN INDIA.
All enrolled students in ANY CLASSES or those who have NOT ENROLLED IN ANY CLASSES will GET ADMISSION IN SUCH INSTITUTES VERY EASILY.

    Hello Sir/Madam,

I’m passionate in Art field and want to have correct guidance of yours in designing my career in “Interior Designing” and “Animation” and have the following queries:

    1) Which field should I select or should go for both. (I’m willing to have a graduate degree in a field, because I want to be a professional in a particular field.)

    2) I have taken Arts in my 12th, so can I apply for admission in the following fields as mentioned above. If yes, which are the Institute or Colleges in Ahmedabad, Gujarat that you would suggest. What is the minimum percentage required to get admission.

And also, if you have some knowledge about the fee structure, I would request you to provide me with that including some additional information that I should know. Waiting for your reply.

    Thank You Sir/Madam.

Sir, I am doing my 12th std in the commerce field in coimbatore, i wish to join NID, but the entrance is in january, and i will not be able to attend the entrance, due to my exams.
should i wait for a whole year, and then try the entrance? or just do some course and then give it a shot? i’m really confused…. please guide me.

    • Arkin
#24 written by Arkin  3 months ago

In January you must not have any other important exam. SO I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TO APPEAR FOR NID DURING YOUR 12TH STANDARD. DO NOT WAIT FOR ONE YEAR…..
Feel free for any further clarification.

    Hi,

My daughter is interested in Product Designing. She will be appearing for the 12th CBSE exams this year.

NID, DJ Academy, MIT and such other institute imparts training for product design courses. But No:-1 is NID, so you must prepare to crack NID entrance exam during 12th standard. NID entrance exam is held in the month of January. So students appearing for 12th must take this exam during their 12th standard.

My daughter is studying in 10th.She is interested in Animation. She is good in studies so I would like either NID or colleges in abroad for Animation design for her. Please guide as for the good SAT score after 12th do you feel that science with maths should be opted after 10th?

    • Arkin
#32 written by Arkin  4 months ago

In today’s time everyone knows that who ever goes for Under Graduate studies to any foreign university are those who could not get admission in any of standard university or college in India. In short, one must try for best Indian colleges. NID offers Animation at Post Graduate level. There are many private coaching classes offering Animation course, which I may not recommend. For any creative course after 12th, one do not need science/mathematics at 12th standard. Best wishes.

First remember one thing… to appear for NATA one do not need any formal training at all. Training may help in getting more marks. But student must have aptitude for such courses.
For CEPT you must get very good score in 12th as well as in NATA exam.
NATA exam is one of the easiest exam among all creative courses exams.
You do not need to be an artist to crack NATA exam, you must be reasonably well in sketching with scale, proportion and sense of perspective and light and shadow.
You must have basic colour sense .
ALL THE ABOVE REQUIRED SKILLS ARE GENERALLY ALLAYS BE THERE WITH STUDENTS OF 12TH STANDARD.
      Best wishes.

It depends on which board you are in 12th and if you are in open category or you have some reservation. For NATA you must try to get above minimum 100 score. But everything is considered combined.

I am currently in the 11th std, and am interested in applying to NID for a UG course after my 12th. I am NOT going to opt for Architecture, however. I want to do a design course, probably product design.

I visited the official website and it does not answer one of my questions specifically. Is it true that it is necessary to have maths in the 11th and 12th to apply even for design courses? I have done maths till 10th and then I dropped it for my 11th and 12th.

    • Arkin

For NID you do not need to have maths. For Architecture Maths required that too Business maths, statistics or science maths.
