NID UG level entrance exam is considered one of the toughest entrance exam in India.

Around 10,000 students appear for UG exam and only 100 are selected and given admission to UG courses after 12th. Out of 10,000 around 500 are Repeaters/Students of first year of Architecture, Fine Arts, NIFT  or such other prestigious design / fashion / fine arts colleges.
